HUSKER PICNIC

 

2007 HUSKER PICNIC

 

The 2007 annual picnic is at Cat Hollow Park from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday July 14, 2007.

We plan on having grilled Fairbury Hot dogs and hamburgers ready for you along with sodas, tea and lemonade.

The moon walk will be set up for the kids. There is a volleyball area with sand base, along with tennis court, and a basketball court for the athletic Huskers. A playground is right next to the pavilion with swings, slides, climb bars, merry-go-round etc for the young. A variety of other games for adults and children are in place thanks to our picnic committee. They have included the always popular bingo game as well.

 

Please bring a covered dish for the picnic. To avoid everyone bringing the same thing, you may follow the guidelines for dish items with the first letter of the last name as follows.

 

A-H    Veggies (Baked beans, veggie plates, etc.)

I-R      Deserts

S-Z    Salads (Potato, Macaroni, Rice, Fruit, etc.)

 

For the non cook person (Bachelors etc.) please bring chips, dip, salsa etc.

 

There will be a drawing for Nebraska baskets. One drawing will be for the adults and one for the children. Each family member will be given a ticket when they arrive at the park.

 

 Directions: To get to Cat Hollow Park, Take Interstate 35 to Round Rock exit for Hwy 620 and turn West on Highway 620. Follow Hwy 620 until you see the HEB store on your right. Turn right at the stoplight (O’connor) and go to the stop sign. The park is on your right after the stop sign.
